About Us

Women's Rehabilitation Group of New Jersey has been uplifting humanity, one life at a time, since 1983.

Changing Lives Through
Opportunity and Hope

The Women’s Rehabilitation Group of New Jersey (WRG) was founded by a group of young, working Indian-American women who had recently immigrated from India. Driven by a desire to give back to their motherland, they set out to empower underprivileged communities. Over the past 40 years, WRG has touched thousands of lives, restoring hope and making dreams a reality.
Our Impact and Purpose

Powering Independence

WRG helps underprivileged women, children, and young adults in India and the United States build self-respecting, self-reliant lives. By fostering self-esteem and providing critical skills, we empower individuals to confidently enter the workforce or launch their own small businesses. This sustainable approach breaks the cycle of dependence, abuse, and poverty, ultimately lifting entire families and strengthening communities.

Our Reach and Achievements

Over the years, WRG has fully funded and established multiple schools and vocational training centers in India. As our organization has grown, so have our horizons. Today, we proudly provide educational scholarships in both India and the U.S.
Our programs fund educational and vocational pathways for widowed and divorced women, as well as promising students pursuing careers in nursing, computer science, beauty care, and tailoring. We also collaborate with partner organizations to deliver group programs for young women, support physically and mentally challenged individuals, and distribute essential resources like wheelchairs, computers, Braille materials, and prosthetics.
100% Impact: WRG is operated and managed entirely by dedicated volunteer committee members. Because we have zero administrative overhead, 100% of your donations go directly to supporting the populations who need it most.
WRG is a registered 510(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
