  • Vocational training and skill development for youth and women
Since March 2018, the PHD Family Welfare Foundation (PHDFWF), with vital support from the Women’s Rehabilitation Group (WRG) of USA, has actively empowered underprivileged women and youth in the Mehrauli Resettlement Colony of New Delhi.
The initiative focuses on providing free vocational training in highly practical skills, designed to foster self-reliance, financial independence, and improved overall well-being for its beneficiaries.
Beyond technical training, the program hosts motivational talks, health camps, and awareness sessions on personal rights. These efforts build confidence and keep the community informed on critical social issues by observing international days.
  • Beauty Culture
A dedicated cohort of 77 beneficiaries actively participates in beauty culture courses at the Mehrauli Skill Development Center.
Training covers essential beauty parlor techniques, including skin care, hair care, makeup, and personal grooming.
The course equips women with hands-on expertise to secure immediate employment or launch their own small beauty startups.
  • Tailoring & Embroidery
A total of 48 beneficiaries are currently enrolled in the Tailoring and Embroidery Course, balancing theoretical concepts with intense practical application.
Participants master fabric measurement, precise cutting, and the stitching of diverse garments (including frocks, suits, blouses, shirts, and pants), alongside design and embroidery work.
The program fosters economic independence, enabling participants to secure jobs in manufacturing units or establish self-employed tailoring ventures.
  • Mobile Repairing Course
Technical training provides vital job skills to 44 youth and community members.
The syllabus integrates hardware and software fundamentals, diagnostics, common troubleshooting, component replacement, and safe tool handling across various mobile models.
This initiative drives local income generation by preparing youth for technical roles or independent mobile repair businesses.

Digital literacy programs extend to 85 active beneficiaries to maximize their career potential.
Trainees gain hands-on familiarity with computer components alongside essential applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, internet browsing, email management, and typing.
This coursework bridges the digital divide and elevates employability, qualifying graduates for data entry roles, office administration, or further academic pursuits.
