The Women Rehabilitation Group (WRG) is deeply passionate about supporting underprivileged women and children across India.
WRG awards tailored scholarships to young men, women, and children to fund primary schooling, undergraduate studies, and graduate education in fields like law, accounting, and the arts.
Financial aid also supports practical training programs in computer science, nursing, sewing, and beauty, alongside providing seed funding for individuals to launch small businesses.
Multiple scholarship recipients have successfully graduated from professional institutions—including dental, business (MBA), and law schools—while others have secured baccalaureate degrees in fields like computer science, nursing, and accounting.
Scholarship recipient Askeena’s remarkable achievements perfectly reflect the vision of WRG’s donors and supporters. As a bright and ambitious student, Askeena has long held dreams of becoming an engineer. WRG received her financial aid request in 2015 when she was in the fifth grade and has proudly sponsored her education ever since. Her father works as a driver, supporting a family of four on a total income of 35,000 Rupees, while her mother contributes a modest amount by taking on local sewing projects. Today, she is in her second year of engineering college and is incredibly close to making her dreams a reality. You can watch her inspirational testimonial video directly on the WRG website at www.wrgofnj.org.
