Middlesex County is home to New Jersey’s largest concentration of immigrant populations.
Since 2006, WRG has facilitated and supported higher education for more than 100 young women.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic merit, and a proven determination to achieve educational goals.
WRG donates $7,500 annually to support five students at Middlesex College, providing a $1,500 grant to each recipient.
Scholars earn their associate degrees from Middlesex College, with many successfully transferring to Rutgers University or other four-year institutions in New Jersey to pursue their bachelor’s degrees.
Hudson County Community College: Jersey City, NJ
Located in Jersey City, Hudson County Community College serves a highly diverse immigrant population.
Many of these students come from low-income, working-class families and are the first in their families to attend college. A significant number are single parents juggling employment at area hospitals while completing their education.
For the past 20 years, WRG has consistently awarded scholarships to deserving students at the college.
The Scholarship Recipients are awarded $1,500 to pursue their associate degrees in Nursing.
